Now, even Mohali has joined the list of ‘eco rickshaws cab’ districts of Punjab.
Senior official Mohammed Toyeb said to start with 13 eco cab rickshaws have been started in the city. He added that by June 20 the city will get another 15 eco cabs.
Toyeb in a meeting said the rickshaw pullers of the city will also be inspired to ride eco cab rickshaws.
The passengers riding in eco rickshaws would also enjoy the privilege of listening to music as the eco cabs have fm installed in them. The friendly rickshaws will even consist of eco first aid kit.
Each eco friendly cab costs around Rs 10,000. The banks have fixed 36 monthly installments of Rs 300 per month for all rickshaw pullers to recover its loans given to each purchaser of eco cab.
